Galway Rovers Starts a Men's Professional Development Team and Hires Former New England Revolution Player Joseph Franchino as the Head CoachThe PDL team just finished the regular season in First Place, they advance to the First round of the Tournament Tuesday August 3rd at 8:15pm Home at the Cohasset Sports Complex under the lights Admission is "FREE" come see some Proffesional Soccer "Under the Lights" Joseph Franchino joins the Galway Rovers Coaching staff with over 10 years in the MLS "I'm very excited about Joey joining our Club" said DOC Guy Reynolds, Director Peter Mendel was very instrumental in getting Joey to join our club. Joseph played 8 years for the New England Revolution were he was Capt and appeared in 162 Games for the Revs. Before that he played for the La Galaxy and he also played for the US National Team. We just Started our First PDL Men's team and back in March Fouad and Guy traveled to Galway Ireland to start talks with signing with a Professional Club in Ireland in and we are about ready to sign the deal but we could not do so without this team in place, Joe was the key part to us starting this team. The Galway Coaching Staff and players are very excited to have him join the rovers. Boston BreakersU-10 Girls get invited to the "Boston Breakers Game" and meet some professional players "Special Night". Special thanks to Erica and Meighan for setting that up!! Galway Rovers in IrelandU-19 Boys travel to Galway Ireland for 9 days and got to play teams from across Ireland, they also got to play at half time in from of 1,700 people at the "Galway United Professional Game" the players also got to meet some Professional Players that night.
